16 Aug St Mary’s teachers showcase their STEM learning
St Mary’s Teacher Professional Learning
In a recent PL at St Mary’s College teachers and students showcased their uses of Buncee, Osmo, Stop motion, App smashing (with iMovie and Stop Motion App), Sphero and Seesaw. We have been working with this school throughout the year and coaching them in the classroom on ways to integrate technology meaningfully in their teaching and learning.
This was the best PL. It was interesting to see the journeys these teachers had been on and how far they had travelled in such a short space of time. The best part-teachers and students collaborating and learning together.
Here is my thank you email to the teachers:
We have reached the halfway point in our Digital Education Professional Learning Collaboration with SMC Primary and I just wanted to say a big thank you. Nicola, Rose, Ella and I have learnt so much from you and the students and I am excited to see a buzz developing around the school and the skills and creativity of the students continually improving. I also admire how receptive many of you have been to our presence, having us coaching you has indeed meant more work for you and we appreciate your positive attitude towards this. I believe this is truly benefiting SMC students.
An extra special thanks goes to those who teachers who ran the Digital Learning Sharing session last week. This was a celebration of their achievements, a chance for teachers all to see the wealth of knowledge amongst your colleagues and an opportunity for teachers to gain some great ideas to use in their teaching.
Well done St Mary’s!
